  • 1. UKURIR and/or the Carrier may inspect or open packaging, perform X-ray screening, reweigh, remeasure, or conduct other inspections when required for security, safety, customs, aviation, or regulatory compliance.
  • 2. By handing over a Shipment, the Shipper consents to such inspections.

  • 1. The Shipper must not send goods prohibited by law, government authorities, the Carrier, the country of origin, any transit country, or the destination country.
  • 2. Prohibited goods include, without limitation, narcotics, explosives, firearms, ammunition, sharp weapons, replica or imitation weapons, stolen or illegally obtained goods, and other unlawful items.

ARTICLE 8

INCORRECT OR INCONSISTENT GOODS DECLARATION

  • 1. If the Shipper provides an incorrect, incomplete, or inconsistent declaration and this results in detention, seizure, destruction, return, law-enforcement action, customs action, or other government action, all resulting consequences, claims, sanctions, fines, losses, and legal proceedings shall be the responsibility of the Shipper.
  • 2. The Shipper releases UKURIR from claims and liabilities arising from such incorrect or inconsistent declaration in accordance with applicable law.
ARTICLE 9

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING AND CUSTOMS

  • 1. International shipments are subject to export, import, customs, quarantine, security, and other applicable regulations in the country of origin, transit countries, and destination country.
  • 2. The Shipper must provide invoices, packing lists, identification, permits, licences, certificates, or other documents where required.
  • 3. UKURIR does not guarantee that a Shipment will receive export, transit, or import approval from the relevant authorities.
  • 4. HS Code classification, customs value, duties, taxes, inspections, import permits, detention, release, seizure, return, abandonment, or destruction are determined by the relevant authorities.
ARTICLE 10

TAXES, DUTIES AND ADDITIONAL CHARGES

  • 1. Unless expressly stated in writing as included in the rate, shipping charges exclude insurance, taxes, import duties, customs charges, return charges, storage, out-of-area or remote-area charges, address correction, handling fees, other surcharges, and destruction costs.
  • 2. Taxes and import duties are determined by the relevant authorities and not by UKURIR.
  • 3. If the Consignee refuses to pay required charges and the Shipment is returned, stored, abandoned, or destroyed, all related costs shall be borne by the Shipper.
  • 4. UKURIR may invoice additional charges received from the Carrier after the Shipment has been processed.
ARTICLE 11

RETURN, ABANDONMENT AND DESTRUCTION

  • 1. A Shipment may be returned, stored, abandoned, or destroyed if the Consignee refuses the Shipment, the address is incorrect, the Consignee cannot be contacted, duties or taxes are not paid, customs requirements are not fulfilled, entry is denied, or for other reasons under Carrier or authority requirements.
  • 2. All return, storage, handling, disposal, destruction, tax, duty, and other related costs shall be borne by the Shipper.
ARTICLE 12

GOODS DETAINED, SEIZED OR DESTROYED BY AUTHORITIES

  • 1. UKURIR does not provide compensation for Shipments detained, seized, confiscated, denied entry, returned, or destroyed by customs, law-enforcement agencies, government authorities, quarantine authorities, security authorities, or other competent authorities.
  • 2. This provision applies in the country of origin, any transit country, and the destination country.
  • 3. This includes actions resulting from prohibited or restricted goods, incomplete permits or documents, incorrect declarations, customs, quarantine, security, or other regulatory non-compliance.
  • 4. Fines, taxes, duties, storage, inspection, administrative charges, return, disposal, and destruction costs shall be borne by the Shipper.
  • 5. Events described in this Article shall not be treated as loss of or damage to a Shipment for which a claim may be made against UKURIR.
ARTICLE 13

TRANSIT TIME AND DELAYS

  • 1. Any stated transit time is an estimate and is not a guaranteed delivery time unless the service is expressly identified as a time-guaranteed service.
  • 2. Estimated transit times may change due to customs procedures, security inspections, flight schedules, transportation capacity, weather, public holidays, operational conditions, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control.
  • 3. UKURIR shall not be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from delay, as further provided in Article 18.
ARTICLE 14

LOSS AND DAMAGE

  • 1. Any loss of and/or damage to a Shipment must be investigated according to the party having custody of and/or handling the Shipment at the time of the event.
  • 2. The value stated on an invoice, Waybill/AWB, or as a declared value does not automatically constitute the amount of compensation payable.
  • 3. Compensation is subject to the applicable terms and conditions, liability limits, service or protection type, investigation results, and decision of the responsible party in accordance with Article 15.
  • 4. UKURIR shall not be liable for damage or deterioration caused by packaging, the inherent nature of the goods, expiration, changes in taste, aroma, color, texture, form or function, shrinkage, leakage, temperature changes, humidity, or other conditions not directly caused by UKURIR's error or negligence.
ARTICLE 15

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND COMPENSATION

  • 1. Each Carrier has its own terms, claim procedures, calculation methods, and liability limits for loss of and/or damage to a Shipment.
  • 2. The amount of compensation shall follow the terms and conditions of the Carrier used and in effect at the time of shipment, including any applicable law or international convention governing the transportation.
  • 3. For international shipments, liability limits may be determined under applicable transportation rules, including but not limited to the Warsaw Convention, Montreal Convention, Special Drawing Rights (SDR), Shipment weight, declared value, value of the goods, fixed monetary limits, or other calculation methods established by the Carrier.
  • 4. For domestic shipments, liability limits and compensation shall follow the terms and conditions of the Carrier used, including provisions based on the value of the goods, shipping charges, Shipment weight, service type, protection or insurance, fixed monetary limits, and/or other applicable calculation methods.
  • 5. The value stated on an invoice, Waybill/AWB, or declared by the Shipper does not automatically constitute the amount of compensation payable.
  • 6. UKURIR will assist with claim submission, supporting documents, and follow-up with the relevant Carrier. If loss and/or damage occurs after the Shipment has been handed over to the Carrier, investigation, determination of the cause, approval or rejection of the claim, and determination of compensation shall follow the terms, procedures, investigation results, and liability limits of the Carrier handling the Shipment.
  • 7. If the Carrier approves compensation lower than the declared value or invoice value of the Shipment, the amount approved by the Carrier shall be the applicable compensation for the claim against that Carrier. UKURIR is not obliged to pay, supplement, or bear the difference between the compensation approved by the Carrier and the declared value, invoice value, or amount claimed by the Shipper.
  • 8. A Carrier's decision to partially approve, reject, or determine compensation according to its liability limits does not transfer any obligation to pay compensation or the difference in value to UKURIR.
  • 9. If loss of and/or damage to a Shipment is proven to have been directly caused by UKURIR's error or negligence while the Shipment remains in UKURIR's custody and before it has been handed over to the Carrier, UKURIR's liability shall be limited to direct loss of or damage to the Shipment as follows: (a) for Domestic Shipments in Indonesia, compensation shall be 10 (ten) times the shipping charge, subject to a maximum of IDR 1,000,000 (one million Indonesian Rupiah) per Shipment and shall not exceed the proven value of the Shipment; (b) for Domestic Shipments in other countries, compensation shall be subject to the UKURIR liability limit applicable in the country where the domestic service is provided and shall not exceed the proven value of the Shipment; and (c) for International Shipments, compensation shall be limited to a maximum of USD 100 (one hundred United States Dollars) per Shipment or the proven value of the Shipment, whichever is lower.
  • 10. The UKURIR liability limit referred to in paragraph (9) applies only to loss and/or damage proven to have occurred while the Shipment was in UKURIR's custody and before handover to the Carrier. It is not an additional, supplementary, or shortfall payment in respect of compensation paid or determined by the Carrier.
  • 11. If loss and/or damage occurs after the Shipment has been handed over to the Carrier, the Shipper shall not be entitled to require UKURIR to pay any shortfall or difference between the compensation approved by the Carrier and the value of the Shipment, invoice value, declared value, or amount of loss claimed by the Shipper.
  • 12. If the Shipper requires protection above the standard liability limit, the Shipper may use insurance, declared value protection, or other additional protection where available and subject to applicable requirements.
ARTICLE 16

CLAIM SUBMISSION

  • 1. Any loss and/or damage to a Shipment must be reported as soon as reasonably possible after it becomes known and within the applicable claim submission deadline.
  • 2. For Shipment damage, a claim must be submitted no later than 1 Γ— 24 hours after the Shipment is received. The Shipper and/or Consignee must provide supporting evidence, particularly an unboxing video recorded from while the package is still fully closed, throughout the opening process, until the condition of the Shipment is clearly visible; photographs of the packaging before and during opening; and photographs of the damaged Shipment.
  • 3. If, at the time of delivery, the packaging is dented, torn, wet, punctured, open, has a broken seal, or shows any other indication of damage, such condition must be documented before and during opening. The damaged packaging and Shipment must, where reasonably possible, be retained throughout the investigation and must not be discarded until the claim process is completed or the Carrier confirms that they are no longer required.
  • 4. For a lost Shipment, a claim must be submitted no later than 14 (fourteen) calendar days from the date on which the Shipment should have been delivered based on the applicable estimated or scheduled delivery date.
  • 5. Claim documents may include the Waybill/AWB, invoice or evidence of Shipment value, proof of payment, pre-shipment photographs where available, packaging photographs, an unboxing video for damage claims, damage photographs, identification of the Shipper or Consignee, and any additional documents or information requested by UKURIR and/or the Carrier.
  • 6. If the Carrier imposes a claim submission deadline shorter than the deadline stated above, the Carrier's shorter deadline shall apply.
  • 7. Claims submitted after the applicable deadline or without the required evidence and documentation may not be processed or may be rejected.
  • 8. Submission of a claim does not mean that the claim is automatically approved. Every claim remains subject to investigation, document verification, applicable terms and conditions, and the decision of the responsible party in accordance with Article 15.
  • 9. The Shipper shall not be entitled to double recovery exceeding the actual proven loss.
ARTICLE 17

INSURANCE

  • 1. Unless expressly stated in writing, shipping rates do not include insurance.
  • 2. Where available, the Shipper may request insurance protection before the Shipment is processed.
  • 3. UKURIR may assist in arranging protection based on the declared value or invoice, subject to applicable requirements.
  • 4. The Shipper is responsible for the accuracy of the value and information provided.
  • 5. Coverage amount, premium, deductible, covered risks, exclusions, claim procedures, and payment shall follow the applicable insurance policy or insurer's terms.
  • 6. If the policy applies a deductible of 10% or another percentage, the claim payment will be reduced accordingly.
  • 7. UKURIR may assist with claim administration, but approval and payment decisions remain with the insurer.
  • 8. Insurance does not remove the Shipper's obligation to use suitable packaging.
ARTICLE 18

EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY

  • 1. Liability for loss of and/or damage to a Shipment is limited to direct loss of or damage to the Shipment, subject to the liability and compensation provisions set out in Article 15.
  • 2. UKURIR shall not be liable for deterioration in the quality or condition of a Shipment resulting from the inherent nature of the goods, expiration, changes in taste, aroma, color, texture, form or function, shrinkage, leakage, changes in temperature, humidity, or any other condition not directly caused by UKURIR's error or negligence.
  • 3. UKURIR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from delay, loss, damage, detention, seizure, or failure of delivery, including but not limited to: (a) loss of profit or revenue; (b) loss of business opportunities or sales; (c) loss of contracts or customers; (d) fines, penalties, or payment obligations arising under any contract between the Shipper and a third party; (e) loss of market or reputation; (f) loss of use, function, or economic benefit of any goods; (g) costs incurred in obtaining replacement goods or services from another party; and (h) any other claims, liabilities, or losses arising from third parties.
  • 4. Compensation for loss of and/or damage to a Shipment, whether the responsibility of the Carrier or UKURIR under Article 15, shall not include any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss referred to in paragraph (3).
ARTICLE 19

  • 1. UKURIR shall not be liable for failure or delay in performing services caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, extreme weather, fire, epidemics or pandemics, war, civil unrest, embargoes, strikes, flight or transportation disruptions, airport or port closures, government or customs actions, large-scale system outages, or similar events.
ARTICLE 20

PAYMENT AND ADDITIONAL CHARGES

  • 1. The Shipper must pay transaction charges in accordance with the applicable rate.
  • 2. UKURIR may invoice post-shipment corrections or additional charges arising from differences in weight or dimensions, surcharges, customs charges, return, storage, address correction, disposal, destruction, or other charges imposed by the Carrier.
  • 3. The Shipper must pay such additional charges within the specified payment period.
ARTICLE 21

By using UKURIR services, the Shipper consents to the processing and sharing of necessary data with Carriers, agents, subcontractors, customs authorities, government agencies, insurers, payment providers, and other relevant parties for booking, transportation, customs clearance, tracking, delivery, payment, security, claims, and legal compliance.
  • 2. The Shipper warrants that it has a lawful basis to provide the personal data of the Consignee and any other person identified in connection with the Shipment.
ARTICLE 22

AMENDMENTS TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • 1. UKURIR may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in services, Carrier policies, regulations, technology, and operational requirements.
  • 2. Liability and claim provisions shall follow the Carrier terms and conditions in effect at the time the Shipment is made.
